I am a happy hybrid designer - interaction and visual - with a strong focus on design research. I have five years of front-end design and coding experience with a leading ophthalmology-specific electronic health records company, and 15 years experience in the medical field. My determination to learn the best practices and approach in research and human-centered design led me to return to school to study interaction design at California College of the Arts, where I will be a senior by the fall.
I strive to understand what people think, feel, and do. My research is centered around building empathy to better inform my designs.
In my quest of humanizing technology, user feedback is key. I rapid prototype in order to quickly get my designs into people’s hands and find out what direction to take next.
I understand systems and information. No matter the project, understanding where the information is coming from and where it is going is critical.
